"Few ships arrive at the docks of Azulholde these days. Those that do only deliver weapons, fuel, and food to further the war effort. Outsiders are treated with suspicion and even hostility. Magmarians are likely to be arrested or attacked on the spot. Whispers in the city’s criminal underworld say that the Atlantean battle submarine Aquarius is coming into port, with some extremely valuable cargo on board."

The Aquarius is a homebrewed DnD 5e adventure, created by pulling together, re-formatting, and filling in the gaps of my notes from a campaign. The module, which ran about 6 sessions in all, places players at the precipice of a global conflict between two feuding empires, tasked with infiltrating or fighting their way through a submarine full of enemies, retrieving the precious cargo onboard, and returning it to the shadowy figure who hired them to do so, who, as they may find out, could very well play a much larger role in the brewing conflict than they initially realized. The Aquarius features a dungeon with over 20 unique rooms for players to explore, around a dozen NPCs of varying depth for players to interact with, several new enemies to fight, and even a few vehicles to take control of if the opportunity presents itself.

The Aquarius was intended to be a quick, 4-hour, one-shot campaign for a group of friends over a long weekend, but quickly grew and morphed into a much larger and more complicated project. The resulting homebrewed monstrosity came in at over 60 pages, including details for 5 new races, 3 new classes, an assortment of vehicle, weapon, and enemy designs, and far more lore and world-building than my poor players had the time or willpower to even begin to unravel. For the purposes of this portfolio, I have split it into two parts: The "campaign" portion of the content, featuring location descriptions, possible player routes, NPC characteristics, and encounters, and the "player handbook" portion, which contains the races and classes I added to 5e to allow my players to make full use of the setting.
